“We went school shopping in KL but no school
suited us. We were in tears for the first 10 days in KL, heartbroken at the
thought that my wife and children would be forced to go back to Italy.
It all changed when we walked through the gates of
M'KIS. Everything that we looked for, we found at this school. It was so
welcoming, it felt like home!
It’s been almost a year now and my children's
English has improved tremendously; they love their school, the dynamic teachers,
their multinational friends and the great community.
This overseas experience is all I could have wished
for for my beloved family. From the bottom of my heart: So grateful. Thank you,
M'KIS.”
“I am autistic and I do face some challenges. To be honest, I was barely passing subjects in my former international school. But when I transferred to M’KIS in Grade 10, the American program let me blossom because I could learn in different ways and choose from a wider range of subjects like Psychology, Dance and Product Design.
When I graduated last year, I received Honor Roll awards; my GPA was 3.5, which is unbelievable! As MKIS is a smaller school, everybody knew me and accepted me... I didn’t disappear into a sea of faces. This was so good for my social skills, confidence and self-esteem.
The most amazing news was when M’KIS offered me an internship as assistant coach for PE and the swim team. I now enjoy my time working with the students. Truly, I’ve taken my first big step towards adulting and a career.”
“We’ve lived in Germany, China and now Malaysia, and I speak with experience when I say M’KIS ticked all my boxes for a superior international school. It is a well-run smaller school filled with warmth and positivity.
It offers a highly respectable IB program, multi-nationality students, expat teachers who really know what IB is about… my list goes on.
But after seven years in the school with my three children – my youngest is graduating this year – I can tell you that in the end, it is my children’s experiences that matter the most. My kids were very happy studying at M’KIS and their journeys were filled with so many positive and even life-changing instances. They learnt, they questioned, they grew… and the school was a beautiful, enabling safe space.
Also, I am proud to have been a positive member of the school community for the last seven years. We really love M’KIS. It will always hold a very special place in all our hearts.”
“From kindergarten till they graduated as young adults, my two children received a wonderful education at the truly special M’KIS.
The school’s commitment to academic excellence, its focus on developing the whole child, and its warm and supportive community impressed my wife and I throughout the 12 plus years.
Our children thrived despite being challenged academically. They had the opportunity to explore their interests and talents in a variety of co-curricular activities, including sports, music, and art. They made many close friends from a global community and felt supported by their teachers and classmates.
We were particularly impressed with the school's focus on character education. Our children have learned the importance of education, honesty, respect and responsibility. They have also learned how to work hard, persevere and be good citizens of this world.
We are truly grateful. Thank you, M’KIS. ”
“My two children began M’KIS out of necessity because we wanted a well- rounded education for them. From the beginning, my wife and I were impressed with the curriculum and the stellar teaching staff. We also remember the affable and helpful admin team that included Ms Alice Tan, in particular, and Ms Sumathi.
We knew we had chosen the right school because of how the International Baccalaureate program which rolled out – indeed we knew this would be an asset to our children's future! When Nabil and Amira graduated – with excellent results – I hasten to add, they were accepted into their chosen universities abroad. They were even exempted from certain freshman coursework due to their excellent results in the IB, which translated into substantial savings for us.
We are of the opinion that M’KIS has one of the best curriculums on offer and we have no reservations recommending the school to any prospective student or parent in search of an inclusive education curriculum. ”
“My two kids have been at M'KIS since 2011 and we’ve made close ties with so many people from around the world – this is a true multicultural community that you can never experience elsewhere.
Because my children underwent the PYP and MYP IB programs, they adapted so easily to the IB Diploma. I think it is very important to have the same curriculum throughout so that their pathway is focussed.
M'KIS also has a strong bonding between grades so my children got help and motivation from their older schoolmates. The teachers were wonderfully caring and offered personal care. This is the best part of being in a medium-sized caring school!
I am very happy with M'KIS. My kids love M'KIS, and they’re doing well in school. There is nothing better than this!”
